Location: Dublin office – 3 days per week for the first 3 months with bi-weekly office visits after that. Travel expenses are covered.

We are working with a well-established cybersecurity service provider who are looking for a Head of SOC to join their growing team.

As the Head of SOC, you will be given the opportunity to manage the Level 2 & 3 Security Analysts and contribute to thought leadership across the organisation.

This person will possess a proactive and solution-focused attitude and the ability to analyse business problems to deliver real solutions.

Role responsibilities:

• Lead the global SOC team
• Effectively run incident queue management & act as an escalation point for major incidents
• Ensure the SLAs are achieved in line with customer expectations
• Allocating resources as necessary to achieve customer SLAs
• Supporting the team as needed including being hands-on when necessary
• Documentation development: processes, procedures, runbooks
• Team goal setting and carrying out performance reviews
• Onboarding/offboarding SOC customers for different security services
• Helping other SOC teams with mentoring and cross-training

Experience:

• Experience in a similar management role leading a SOC team
• Experience working in an MSSP or Consultancy environment
• Experience in incident, change and problem process management
• Experience using various security tools including SIEM, IPS and SOAR
• Experience in end-to-end investigating and managing complex Security incidents
• Knowledge of adversarial TTPs and industry frameworks such as Mitre Att&ck, ISO27000 or ISO27001
