Our client is looking for 2 Lawyers with a focus on Data Protection & Privacy to join their growing team and assist the wider Technology team providing expertise and guidance to Clients on all matters relating to Data Protection & Privacy.

Our client is looking for 2 Lawyers with a focus on Data Protection & Privacy to join their growing team and assist the wider Technology team providing expertise and guidance to Clients on all matters relating to Data Protection & Privacy.
Job Responsibilities of the Privacy Lawyer
- Acting as a subject matter expert to Clients on all matters relating to Data Protection & Privacy
- Advising on aspects related to Data Protection standards, predominantly GDPR, including revieing contracts & associated policies, creating response plans for Subject Access requests, creating Data breach response plans and providing expertise on Data Transfer guidelines
- Providing clear and concise guidance on privacy matters relating to contracts
- Advising on e-privacy requirements relating to marketing & cookies, Adtech, applications & IoT
- Managing commercial aspects of corporate transactions and Mergers & Acquisitions from a Data Protection & Privacy standpoint
- Managing junior associates & trainees as necessary
Desirable Skills and Experience of the Privacy Lawyer
- Qualified Lawyer with at least 5-8 years PQE
- In depth knowledge of Data Protection standards including GDPR & Data Protection Act. Knowledge of international compliance standards such as the CCP are beneficial
- Knowledge of UK & EU regulations and how they may effect Data protection standards
- Experience working across the Data Protection & Privacy landscape with knowledge of Subject Access Requests, DPIA’s, e-privacy and much more
- Excellent communicator both written and verbal with the ability to explain complex topics to a range of audiences
- Data Protection & Privacy certifications are desirable
