Cyber Security Manager – Flexible Working – Up to £100,000 + Strong Benefits & Bonus

In March 2016, the company was founded by a team with decades of experience in software, data, and advanced analytics. In just over five years, they’ve grown from a few desks huddled in the corner of a shared space to having over 515 staff worldwide!

Having just completed Series D funding round, they are now in a rapid scale up phase, and looking for a Cyber Security Manager to join the Information Security team, protecting against information security and cyber security threats such as malware, phishing, ransomware, and other targeted attacks.

As a key member of the rapidly growing InfoSec team reporting to the Head of Information Security, the Security Operations Lead will play a crucial role in monitoring and responding to incidents across all locations and engaging in a continuous cycle of assessment and improvement of security controls.

The Cyber Security Manager will:

  • Oversee day to day management of the security operations pillar
  • Operate at a technical to management competency of 60:40
  • Manage, continuously improve and mature the outsourced security operations
  • Assist Q teams in the selection and adoption of security controls, supporting the principles of Security by Design
  • Act as a focal point for Security Operations and related queries
  • Contribute to the improvement of our logging pipelines and security analytics
  • Work with our internal development teams (R&D) to enhance the security of our products
  • Own CE+ and maintain security requirements for ISO/IEC 27001 and SOC 2 (Type 1)
  • Work with the Business Continuity function to integrate and improvement the Incident Response programme
  • Engage & collaborate with third-party vendors providing security testing services (penetration testing etc.)

The Cyber Security Manager will demonstrate:

  • Previous direct line management experience and supplier management
  • Good knowledge across the following:
  • Operating System s knowledge(various)
  • Vulnerability Management knowledge (processes and procedures)
  • Incident Response experience
  • Cloud Security understanding
  • Ability to recruit, retain, develop, and motivate team members. This includes participating in recruitment, performance management, ensuring role appraisals are completed, ensuring appropriate objectives and development plans are put in place
  • Ability to work proactively and collaboratively
  • Ability to develop lasting relationships with broader internal teams
  • Good level of analytical skills, relevant PM experience with a demonstrated record
  • Ability to remain calm in high stress situations
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities and multiple work streams in a fast-paced FinTech environment

Desirable skills/experience include:

  • Prior experience using the M365 security stack and Microsoft Sentinel solutions
  • Good Presentation, communication and influencing skills
